I’ll probably edit this post a few times.
Why am I about to begin a blog?
The reality is, as my bio suggests, that I prefer to stay out of the public limelight. I started a blog years ago but could not get enough motivation and momentum to keep it going. This time, I am in the middle of a career shift from software engineering into ministry. In this new role, I am to influence, lead, and serve others; a blog may be one good tool for that purpose. There are also some random musings, ranging from technical ideas and thoughts to health and living, that I may share from time to time.
Primarily, though, I want to bless readers by sharing what God has blessed me to discover in life. In particular, to share His life-giving truths, plus anything else, practical or philosophical, that may bless you.
For that reason, this blog will have a positive focus. I will try to avoid a critical spirit and focus on the good things that can directly improve your life. That’s not to say hard truths will be avoided; sometimes the patient needs to be informed of the disease before we can deliver the good news that there is a cure!
I want the reader to come away not only informed, but encouraged; not only with a how-to but also a “why” (motivation). At the very least, I hope to write so that any open-minded reader, even if from a very different viewpoint, can come away with a new way to see the world and the people in it.
